Benny Bock - “Dynamo” (video)

Filmed in 1972 by Richard Bock with a Bolex H8 in New York City. It was created entirely in the camera using single frame and multiple exposure techniques. The film, originally called "Retension," was left without a soundtrack for 50 years until Richard and Benny uncovered it looking for footage for a music video. The film seemed to fit the song "Dynamo" perfectly. The reel was digitally restored and transferred, creating a collaboration between Richard when he was 24 years old and his 24-year old son, 50 years later. With strings by Daphne Chen.
